Serving Together to Enrich Our Worship
Our Liturgy Council is made up of the dedicated coordinators of each liturgical ministry at Our Lady of the Gulf — including lectors, altar servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, ushers, sacristans, and music ministers. Together, we work in unity to support the planning and celebration of reverent, beautiful, and meaningful liturgies.
The Council meets regularly to:
Reflect on the Church’s liturgical seasons and special feast days
Coordinate efforts across ministries for major liturgical celebrations
Offer feedback and ideas to deepen the worship experience for our parish community
Ensure that all ministers are supported, trained, and scheduled with care
If you're currently serving in a liturgical ministry — or feel called to begin — we welcome your participation and voice. Those who take on leadership roles will be invited to join the Liturgy Council as ministry coordinators or representatives.
We are currently seeking coordinators for the following liturgical ministries:
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC)
Altar Servers
If you feel called to serve in a leadership role to help organize, support, and grow one of these vital ministries, we’d love to hear from you.
Whether you're currently involved in liturgical ministry or feel the Holy Spirit nudging you to take a next step, we welcome your interest and involvement.
