Thank You for a Wonderful Blessing of PetsThank you to everyone who joined us for our first-ever Blessing of Pets at Meyer Park. It was a beautiful morning celebrating God’s creation and the joy our pets bring into our lives.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers, sponsors, vendors, adoption and rescue partners, and special guests who helped make this community outreach a success. A special thank-you to Wags & Whiskers, who brought adoptable pets, and to the Gulf Shores Police Department and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department, who both brought their K-9 Officers to be blessed. We also thank all who donated supplies for animals in local shelters and foster care.

Do I need to be Catholic to attend?
No—everyone is welcome! This is a community event.
Will pets be blessed individually?
Yes. After the short service, pets may come forward with their owners for an individual blessing with holy water.
What if I don’t have a pet?
Bring a favorite stuffed animal or a photo of a beloved pet, or simply come to give thanks for creation.
Accessibility & Restrooms
Meyer Park Pavilion is accessible. Portable restrooms are available nearby (city-provided).
