Marriage

In the Catholic Church, marriage is a sacrament, a sacred covenant that requires spiritual preparation and prenuptial arrangements under the guidance of an ordained Catholic priest or Permanent Deacon. As such, we are only able to host Catholic wedding ceremonies.
For non-parishioner couples, we ask that you arrange for your own Catholic priest or deacon to oversee your marriage preparation program. We also encourage you to invite him to officiate your ceremony here at Our Lady of the Gulf.

To ensure a valid Catholic wedding, a wedding date cannot be finalizeduntil:

• A Catholic priest or deacon has been secured to officiate.
• All sacramental and prenuptial requirements have been fulfilled.

Your officiating Catholic clergy member will provide confirmation that all necessary preparations are complete.
