Mass Intentions

The Holy Mass is the greatest prayer of intercession we can offer. It is the perfect sacrifice of Christ to the Father, making present the Paschal Mystery—His death and resurrection—for the salvation of the world.

It has long been a tradition in the Church to request that a Mass be offered for a particular intention: for the living or deceased, in thanksgiving, or for a special need. Even if you’re unable to attend in person, the grace of the Mass is not limited by time or space.

There is no cost to request a Mass intention, though a donation is customary and gratefully accepted. At Our Lady of the Gulf, the usual stipend is $10. If your financial situation doesn’t allow it, please don’t let that stop you—your intention is always welcome.
