An hour of peaceful scripture, prayer, and meditative music for anyone who finds the holiday season difficult. Open to all seeking comfort and quiet before Christmas.
"Hope for the Season" is an Ecumenical Advent Series inviting the community to gather for three Thursday evenings of dinner, fellowship, and deep theological discussion. Hosted by the Pleasure Island Ministerial Association at Our Lady of the Gulf, the series features The Rev. Dr. Joy Blaylock, an expert in bridging Christian traditions, leading studies on the Incarnation and Christian Hope. Each evening begins at 5:30 PM with a complimentary potluck dinner, offering a unique opportunity to connect with fellow believers across various denominations and prepare hearts together for Christmas. RSVP is required to ensure adequate seating and meal planning.
On the First Friday of each month daily Mass is celebrated at 8:00 am.
BEFORE and AFTER Mass, the Blessed sacrament is exposed for Adoration throughout the day: from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The Ladies Altar Rosary Society was established not long after the parish itself to help provide for the needs of the altar, to create provide for spiritual growth and fellowship among the women of the parish, to support the parish activities and to support charitable organizations in our community!
